La Passion, Vaucluse, France (Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah)
A modern, easy drinking, red-fruit driven wine. The name, we thought was rather appropriate, bearing in mind Le Mistral's passion for good wine.

Central Valley, Chile 2003+.(Merlot)
Ta-da! … and, as if by magic, a perfect Chilean Merlot appeared. Our French-wine buyer was swallowing hard (in more ways than one) when he tasted this. Smooth and rich (who does that remind me of?)

South Africa, 2007+. (Ruby Cabernet and Merlot)
Whoa! This is one big, plush, warming red! It's even topped off nicely with oak, providing vanilla, chocolate, and a note of eucalyptus (honestly)! South African wine making can be hit or miss - this is a home run.

Les Hauts de St Marcel, France, 2007+. (Grenache and Syrah)
Cotes-du-Rhone is on the comeback trail, and deservedly so: this is a natural, easy, gently-spicy and fundamentally RED red-wine. (Is there perhaps also a song about this wine?!)

Argentina, 2008+. (Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.)
Here's a stylish red... and, yes, that does mean we were rather taken by the cool label. But also (and perhaps slightly more importantly) there's nice red fruit here and a classy wave of coffee in the finish.
